Hey! I'm Morgan.

My "Why" Behind This Page
I am passionate about Bible literacy and theology. My deepest desire is to help people get into the habit of fostering a culture of daily Bible reading. When I post on here, my goal is to glorify God while teaching you how to have a deeper understanding and love for God and His Word.

One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Matthew chapter 4 where Jesus preaches humanities dire need for God's word after fasting in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. 40 days later, in Jesus' starving and exhausted state, He chose to fight temptation from satan with these words: "Man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Satan commanded Jesus to turn stones into bread if He was truly the Son of God and He used that moment of temptation to peach our deep and undying need for the Word of God.

Proverbs 30:5 tells us that "Every word of God proves true; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him."
In Luke 11:28. Jesus tells His followers: "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it."

If we profess to be a follower of Christ, His word must be our foundation, our guiding light, and our source of all Truth and wisdom. We cannot understand the nature of Christ and the wholeness of the Gospel if we neglect spending time in His Word. May the word of Christ dwell richly in our hearts (Colossians 3:16).

Psalm 119:11 tells us that we are to store God’s Word in our heart so that we may not sin against God. For we cannot love/serve sin and God at the same time. Loving God means hating sin and walking in His righteousness.

Mark 13:31 and Matthew 6:19 tell us that Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will endure forever. Without the Word of God at the center of your life, all is vanity. We will toil and work on this earth to gain what? Those who strive for self-indulgence on earth will surely get their reward. But those who serve the Lord will be full of light & have treasure in Heaven. The Word of God is the only thing that will last forever.

Understanding and loving the Bible has completely changed my life. My heart behind every post is to teach you and help you treasure God's word. I love Jesus and keeping His word and I desire nothing more than to lead you to have the same love and allow God's word to dwell richly in your heart.
